RT ASEAN Takes on the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 2024!
On 30 November, the RT ASEAN team joined thousands of runners for an unforgettable day at the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 2024. The marathon, held from 29 November to 1 December, featured six exciting race distances. After a 3-year break, SCSM made a grand return, reigniting the excitement and energy of this iconic event.
This year’s event concluded with record participation, refreshed routes, and a new finish line at the historic Anderson Bridge, cementing its place as one of the premier endurance races in the region. As the region’s only World Athletics Gold Label race, the marathon welcomed over 55,000 runners, including nearly 13,000 international participants from 84 countries, further elevating its global presence.
Our team demonstrated incredible determination and spirit, with a group of RT ASEAN staff taking on the 5K run, showcasing camaraderie and enthusiasm. A special shoutout goes to Jessy Heng and Jessie Goh for their outstanding efforts in completing the 10K race with great energy and perseverance.
This year’s marathon also focused on giving back, with corporate teams encouraged to create Giving.sg campaign pages to raise funds for the Community Chest. Donations support Futuremakers-themed programmes under the National Council of Social Service, empowering youth to learn, earn, and grow.
The 2024 race truly celebrated the vibrant beauty of Singapore, from the Central Business District to Gardens by the Bay. We are proud to have been part of such a globally recognized and community-driven event, organized by the IRONMAN Group, one of RT ASEAN’s valued clients.
